About the Role

As Sales Manager for Chemical & Industrial Markets, you will play a key role in expanding NOV Fiber Glass Systems' presence across Europe. Combining business development with strategic account management, you'll identify new opportunities, develop long-term customer partnerships, and work closely with engineering teams to deliver innovative composite solutions that solve complex customer challenges.

You'll be responsible for managing opportunities from initial customer engagement through technical solution development, commercial negotiations and successful project delivery.

  • Develop new business opportunities across Europe's chemical and industrial markets.
  • Manage and grow strategic customer accounts through long-term relationship development.
  • Identify project opportunities from early specification through contract award.
  • Promote NOV's portfolio of composite pipework, fiberglass structures and FRP tank solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, estimating, project management and operations teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, distributors and industrial end users.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends and emerging industry opportunities.
  • Represent NOV at customer meetings, technical events and industry exhibitions across Europe.
  • Travel extensively throughout Europe to support customers and develop new business opportunities.

Essential: 

Experience

  • Proven experience in technical sales within European industrial markets.
  • Experience selling engineered or project-based solutions.
  • Experience developing new business alongside managing existing customer accounts.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering and commercial teams.

Technical Knowledge

Experience in one or more of the following sectors is highly valued:

  • Chemical processing
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Petrochemical
  • Refineries
  • Mining
  • Water treatment
  • Power generation
  • Energy transition
  • Industrial infrastructure

Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and solution-selling capability.
  • Ability to understand technical products and communicate customer requirements effectively.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Europe

 

Preferred:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience with composite pipe systems, FRP/GRP tanks, fiberglass structures or corrosion-resistant materials.
  • Understanding of EPC project environments.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Additional European language skills.
