Job Description

We are looking for an experienced e-Motor layout Engineer responsible for the requirements management, simulation coordination, test coordination for eMotor. The role covers motor development from requirement analysis, engineering release, simulation tasks coordination, test result verification.

The successful candidate will work closely with customer project acquisition, design engineering, simulation, test lab, manufacturing engineering, quality, and customers to ensure that eMotor products meet requirements throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

-Participate the customer acquisition project meetings as Emotor main contact person. Analysis all the requirements and transfer to develop team, manage the requirements change and meeting with customer for requirements freeze.

-Coordinate the simulation tasks, including EMAG, Thermal, mechanical, performance, etc. Breakdown the simulation task list and plan the simulation tasks with different team from different sites. Pre-check the simulation outputs is correct and can fulfill the demands properly.

-Coordinate the test & validation, including function test, performance test, validation test, etc. Work with lab team to align the test specification/test plan/test set up, technical support provider during the test running

-Verify the test result, including performance, validation, etc. Review all the test results and confirm the results can fulfill customer requirements. Joint analysis with development team for test result issues.

-Release the engineering documents of Emotor development. Work with project teams to release the requirements documents related with packaging/performance/durability/cooling etc, final release the design justification documents according to customer requirements.

Qualifications

-Bachelor or master degree with Mechanical or electrical automation background

-5+ years of experience in Motor development. Experience in EV powertrain, e-Motor is preferred.

-Experience with customer communication for requirements analysis & freeze, good coordination skills with different internal teams to drive the team achieve the requirements

-Good understanding of Motor development: Motor architecture, motor simulation workflow, motor test, understand the simulation methodology & simulation tools (like ANSYS, Fluent, Motor CAD,etc)

-Experience with test result :DVP&R, Test specification development, Requirement-based testing, Test set up confirm, test result review, data analysis and also analysis tools like MATLAB

-Knowledge of automotive development processes: V-model development, APQP, ISO 26262 Functional Safety, ASPICE

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability. Good communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional and international teams. Self-driven, structured, and able to manage complex validation activities.

- English read & write is must, fluent English speak will be preferred
