As an OT/SCADA Application Support Engineer – Hexagon PSI (Plant State Integrity), a typical day involves supporting, configuring, and enhancing industrial monitoring and integrity management solutions within operational technology (OT) environments. The role requires working with Hexagon PSI applications, integrating real-time data from SCADA systems, and enabling advanced monitoring use cases such as asset integrity management, event monitoring, and anomaly detection. The candidate will collaborate with operations, engineering, and IT teams to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of critical industrial applications while driving continuous improvement in service delivery and operational excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems.
Configure, maintain, and support Hexagon PSI (Plant State Integrity) applications across industrial environments.
Develop and manage PSI rules, alerts, event monitoring configurations, and integrity management workflows.
Integrate PSI applications with SCADA systems, historians, and real-time operational data sources.
Support development and enhancement of use cases related to integrity monitoring, anomaly detection, and operational risk management.
Provide L2/L3 support for business-critical OT and industrial monitoring systems.
Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve system stability and reliability.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to resolve application and integration issues.
Participate in application upgrades, deployments, testing, and release management activities.
Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and support continuous service improvement initiatives.
Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles to support long-term maintainability and knowledge transfer.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Hexagon PSI (Plant State Integrity).
Strong understanding of Operational Technology (OT) and SCADA environments.
Hands-on experience configuring and supporting Hexagon PSI applications.
Experience working with industrial monitoring, asset integrity, and event management solutions.
Strong knowledge of industrial data systems, historians, and real-time monitoring architectures.
Experience with industrial communication protocols, including OPC.
Knowledge of application integration methodologies and real-time data connectivity.
Experience providing L2/L3 support in Application Managed Services (AMS) environments.
Strong understanding of incident management, problem management, change management, and SLA-driven support models.
Ability to perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system performance optimization.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in complex industrial and enterprise environments.
Additional Information:
The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in SCADA, OT, or Industrial Application Support environments.
Hands-on experience with Hexagon PSI (Plant State Integrity) is mandatory.
Experience in Application Managed Services (AMS) and production support environments is required.
Oil & Gas, Pipeline Operations, or Energy domain experience is highly preferred.
Exposure to modern industrial architectures and technologies such as MQTT, Cloud Platforms, AI/Analytics, and Industrial IoT is preferred.
