Job Description:

The Senior Associate, Member Safety will play a vital position in overseeing and implementing initiatives to ensure the safety and well-being of members or patients within the healthcare organization. This position involves collaboration with various departments, developing safety protocols, and monitoring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare safety practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

Safety Program Management:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and management of member safety programs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Policy and Protocol Development:

  • Develop and update safety policies and protocols in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

  • Ensure that safety policies are in compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Risk Assessment:

  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential safety hazards and areas for improvement.

  • Work with relevant teams to implement risk mitigation strategies.

Incident Reporting and Investigation:

  • Manage the reporting and investigation of safety incidents involving members.

  • Collaborate with relevant departments to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.

Training and Education:

  • Develop and deliver training programs on safety protocols for staff, including frontline healthcare providers.

  • Ensure that staff is knowledgeable about safety procedures and best practices.

Quality Improvement:

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to member safety.

  • Analyze safety-related data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Compliance Monitoring:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and accreditation requirements.

  • Work with internal audit teams to conduct periodic safety audits.

Emergency Preparedness:

  • Contribute to the development and testing of emergency response plans.

  • Ensure that staff is trained on emergency procedures and protocols.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate regularly with healthcare providers, administrators, and other relevant stakeholders on safety-related matters.

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance member safety.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of safety-related activities, incidents, and interventions.

  • Prepare regular reports for leadership on safety performance and initiatives.

Work Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare safety, risk management, or a related role.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is: 

$64,000.00 - $82,000.00 Annual
