Junior Risk Consulting Analyst - Sustainability
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk Consulting team at Marsh. This role will be based in Lisbon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Marsh’s Risk Consulting team helps clients navigate through the current complex risk landscape. We support clients navigating uncertainty, building resilience and ensuring long-term value. We integrate ESG factors directly into Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Business Continuity (BCM) to prepare businesses for tomorrow’s challenges.
As a Consulting Analyst, you will focus on sustainability and environmental topics, playing also a key role as our subject matter expert on sustainability risks. You will actively contribute to broader ERM and BCM projects, helping clients understand how climate and ESG factors impact their operational continuity and strategic resilience.
We will count on you to:
- Sustainability Risk Analysis: identify, assess and quantify climate-related, environmental and ESG risks within client organizations;
- ERM integration: Support the integration of sustainability risks into client’s broader ERM framework;
- BCM integration: Contribute to BCM projects, assessing how environmental disruptions impact business continuity and helping develop response plans;
- Data & Analytics: Gather and analyze complex risk and sustainability data to support client deliverables, benchmarks and presentations;
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor emerging EU regulations (e.g. CSRD, climate risk disclosure requirements) and their impact on corporate risk profiles.
What you need to have:
- A degree or master’s degree in environmental engineering, Sustainable Management, Management, Economics, Business or related field;
- 1-3 years of relevant experience (internships in consulting, risk management, or corporate ESG roles are highly valued);
- Basic understanding of risk management concepts (ERM, BCM) and a strong passion for sustainability;
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel or other tools for data analysis, visualization and reporting;
- Professional English and Portuguese language proficiency;
- Eagerness to learn across multiple consulting disciplines, adaptability skills and hold sharp attention to detail.
What makes you stand out?
- You don't just look at numbers or ESG metrics; you see the story behind them and how they impact a company's operations;
- You thrive in a dynamic, client-oriented environment and aren't afraid to ask questions or propose new ideas.
Why join our team:
- We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders;
- We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities;
- Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
