Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

MUST BE LOCAL TO PITTSBURGH, PA, AREA AND WORK ON-SITE AT LEAST 3-4 DAYS PER WEEK (RELOCATION AVAILABLE)

 

We are seeking a highly motivated Deputy Program Manager Engineering (DPME) to be part of the Space Ground Systems (SGS) team. The DPME will be responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight for complex engineering programs.  These responsibilities include ensuring product quality, cost, and schedule management of the engineering team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Program Manager to ensure the successful execution of projects, meeting both technical and business objectives.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical leadership and direction for engineering programs, ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives
  • Work collaboratively with the Program Manager to develop and maintain program schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Interface with various business functions (i.e., Legal, Contracts, Finance, and Program Controls) when required to ensure compliance and monitor program plans
  • Conduct people activities such as performance management, hiring, headcount management and forecasting, close collaboration with our Learning and Organizational Development team on training and development, and employee recognition
  • Lead cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Interface with facilities and limited access area IT to ensure teams have the resources they require
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Interface with customers, stakeholders, and subcontractors to communicate program status and technical issues
  • Identify and mitigate risks to program success
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal development and customer presentations
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Workplace Options:

  • This position is fully on-site or Hybrid/Flex (requires at least 3-4 days in office per week).
  • While on-site, you will be a part of the Pittsburgh, PA, facility.
  • Up to 25% travel is expected.

Combined Salary Range

USD $152,462.00 - USD $169,138.00 /Yr.
