Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Emergency Response in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to situations with professionalism, communicate clearly, and deliver outstanding customer service. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral health concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while coordinating with facility personnel and emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to incidents, patrols, and security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
