Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Buyer (f/m) to join our Procurement department based in Toulouse, France.
Airbus Procurement welcomes 3,000 employees from 50 nationalities, present in 9 countries. You will be part of a team developing Communication, Navigation and Surveillance systems. As part of the Equipment, Systems and Services Procurement (PE) team—150 people shaping our supplier landscape—you will be involved in developing end-to-end business solutions aiming at directly influencing Airbus cost, revenues (Aftermarket) & EBIT contribution. You will collaborate with suppliers based mainly in the US and Europe to accelerate innovations bringing value and differentiation to our customers, placing you at the heart of how today’s and tomorrow’s cockpit could evolve towards more connectivity and autonomy.

Your challenges:
- Contract & Supplier Management: Be responsible for managing contracts throughout the full life cycle of the products, enforce compliance between terms & conditions and activities, and achieve the signature of contractual agreements to ensure Equipment & Systems are delivered on time, on quality, and on cost.
- Strategic Alignment & Cross-functional Collaboration: Manage alignment across different Company functions (Programs, Supply Chain, Engineering, Customer Services, Legal, Finance) for purchased products across all Airbus aircraft programs (A220, A320, A330, A350, A400M) and contribute to the definition and implementation of the commodity strategy.
- Procurement Operations & Cost Optimization: Initiate, plan, and execute cost reduction campaigns in close cooperation with the Multi-Functional Team, implement international calls for tenders, secure the contractualisation of design changes at the optimum price, and manage supplier rating campaigns.
- Innovation & Risk Management: Collaborate proactively with mainly US and European suppliers and internal functions to accelerate innovations through stakeholder alignment workshops, and proactively manage supply chain risks, deviations, litigations, and transversal change projects.
- Services & Aftermarket Strategy: Work with Customer Services to get feedback, define and implement the Airbus aftermarket strategy for your perimeter, secure a contractual framework in line with the Product Data strategy, and manage supplier performance regarding in-service events.
Your boarding pass:
- 5-year degree level in Engineering or Business school.
- Negotiation level of English.
- Effective contract and international negotiator with proven commercial and contractual background and legal awareness.
- Experience in supplier relationship Management and Procurement, or other equivalent experience in managing outside stakeholders.
- Good technical understanding of Aircraft systems is a plus; experience in Engineering, Programmes, Procurement Operations or Customer Support with efficient project management is a plus.
Note: The location is Toulouse - France, and some national and international travel will be required for supplier meetings.
