Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: Position SummaryThe Facilities Operator is an entry-level hourly role responsible for supporting the upkeep, cleanliness, and basic maintenance of the facility. This position assists in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment by performing general facility support tasks, responding to operational needs, and reinforcing safety and housekeeping standards. This role provides foundational exposure to facilities maintenance and plant operations.Key Responsibilities•    Follow all safety policies, procedures, and Life Saving Rules at all times•    Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, or near-miss incidents•    Support safety audits, inspections, and “find-it/fix-it” activities•    Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)•    Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas aligned with 5S standards •    Perform basic facility upkeep, including cleaning, organizing, and minor repairs•    Assist with routine facility inspections and report maintenance needs•    Support preventative maintenance activities under direction of maintenance personnel•    Assist with building systems support (lighting, minor repairs, basic upkeep)•    Support grounds maintenance activities such as snow removal or exterior cleanup as needed •    Support movement, staging, and organization of materials and equipment•    Respond to facility-related requests as directed by leadership•    Participate in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and team activities•    Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and workplace organization•    Support plant initiatives such as tier meetings, 5S, and safety campaignsQualifications: Basic Qualifications•    High school diploma or GED (preferred)•    Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment•    Ability to follow instructions and work safely with minimal supervision•    Basic communication and teamwork skillsPreferred Qualifications•    Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or facilities environment•    Basic understanding of safety practices in an industrial setting•    Mechanical aptitude or interest in facilities/maintenance workSkills: Physical Requirements•    Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)•    Ability to lift, push, or pull materials (typically up to 35 lbs.) •    Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in varying environmental conditionsKey Success Factors•    Strong commitment to safety and compliance•    Reliability and flexibility to support plant needs•    Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset•    Willingness to learn and develop new skillsWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
