Position Overview and Objective
The manager for the Managed Risk team has a strong backend development skills (Python, Go), hands-on cloud experience (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform), and deep familiarity with automation testing using test management tools like X-ray or similar, CI/CD (GitHub Actions). They bring experience managing high-performing teams and building test environments to improve quality of the product as well as emerging AI/LLM technologies (AWS Bedrock Flows, Databricks MLFlow). Familiarity with cybersecurity and Vulnerability Management / Exposure Management is essential, along with the ability to guide architecture, product roadmaps, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering and other functional areas.
Responsibilities
As a Manager at Arctic Wolf, you will:
- Manage team(s) that will deliver high quality, innovative software solutions, in collaboration with stakeholders such as architects, developers, product managers, CSEs and prod support people.
- Works with Product Team to define and deliver on the 3-month roadmap.
- Support the team by providing direction, clarity and removing obstacles.
- Ensuring teams are highly motivated, performing well, and delivering work on time.
- Remove any blockers preventing teams from getting their work done.
- Making sure each team is clear on the objectives and goals they are striving to achieve.
- Working with team members to deliver the key features.
- Working with Architects to define and execute on the company's technical roadmap.
- Establish career development plans and achievable goals for your reports and support their ongoing growth.
- Develop and mentor careers of team members by executing regular one on ones, helping them grow their technical and leadership skills.
- Drive continuous development process improvements.
- Build collaborative relationships with other teams and stakeholders within the organization.
- Oversee the full software development life cycle.
Ensure their teams is following ISMS regulations:
- Secure Coding Practice.
- Acceptable Use.
- Execute administrative responsibilities:
- Manage employee compensation and vacation time.
- Manage and approve conference and training budgets.
Experience and Requirements:
10 to 15 years of relevant professional experience.
Minimum 1 year of people management experience, including leading, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) or Master’s degree (MS) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.
