Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in consulting, IT services or a relevant field.
  • Experience leading cloud migrations, digital implementations or managed services operations for organizations.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure or cloud-native applications development.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently as this role requires interaction with local and international stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Management, Technical or Engineering fields.
  • 15 years of experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Experience in leading enterprise transformations, driving changes in people, processes and technology to modernize legacy on-premise systems into cloud-native operations.
  • Experience advising customers on technology investment decisions by evaluating expected business value and Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Experience with data center migration strategies and collaboration with channel partners/systems integrators.
  • Knowledge of the Google Cloud ecosystem.

About the job

The Google Cloud Consulting (GCC) team helps customers modernize their IT operations using Google Cloud products and services, enabling them to maximize value.

As a Consulting Account Lead, you will serve as a trusted advisor to major customers, helping them use Google Cloud to achieve their business goals. You will collaborate with them on cloud strategy, organizational, programmatic and technical and help remove barriers to adoption.You will identify opportunities to accelerate onboarding, drive change and expand their use of Google Cloud through best practices.

In this role, you will drive cloud adoption by guiding customers through their transformation journey and ensuring their experience exceeds expectations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage executive stakeholders to align on business goals and deliver value.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the adoption and on-boarding of Google Cloud at organizations to help customers realize the business value of partnership and offerings.
  • Create value for customers by partnering to define success and building a joint plan with identified objectives, stakeholders, milestones, risks and metrics needed to achieve goals.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to understand customer's business and industry to develop road maps.
  • Guide IT executives through the organizational changes needed to unlock the full value of the cloud and help them staff, train and align people and partners to deliver on their cloud transformation.
  • Collaborate with customer-facing account teams, executives and partner across business, support, professional services and customer engineering to create technical and business plans.
