How We Work:
Our hybrid work model (3 days in the New York office) gives us the face to face time to have creative conversations, meaningful meetings, make quick decisions and build relationships. At the same time, it offers the flexibility you need to focus and do your best work.
About the Role:
Join the Organic Growth, SEO/AEO/Content Optimization team as the data and analytics lead for a global portfolio of consumer brands including Norton, LifeLock, Avast and MoneyLion.
Own the integrity of the data pipeline and architecture that powers SEO, AEO and content strategy across Gen's brands. Build, maintain and deliver the reporting and dashboards that turn that data into decisions.
Lead cross-org analytics projects and work with a distributed team across the US, Europe and UK to keep priorities aligned and communicate the team's value.
About the Team:
We are a team of SEO/AEO analysts and content strategists, working closely with content, engineering and central data teams. We build our own tooling, including a custom Google Cloud data platform that powers SEO/AEO reporting & analytics as well as AI-search visibility tracking across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and evolve the team's data warehousing and reporting infrastructure: developing and maintaining SQL queries, cross-platform data pipelines, and cloud functions/API connections that power SEO and AEO performance tracking across the brand portfolio. BigQuery/GCP and Power BI are must-haves; Snowflake is a nice-to-have.
Lead analytics platform migration projects from a stakeholder perspective, representing the Organic Growth team's requirements with the central data organization, ensuring data quality and continuity throughout transitions, and coordinating pipeline setup to prevent any gap in reporting coverage.
Work closely with AEO and content strategists to build and maintain performance dashboards in Looker Studio, Power BI and Periscope; translate complex datasets into clear, decision-ready views for SEO/AEO leads, content teams and leadership.
Drive SEO/AEO/content analytics projects end to end, from architecture to reporting, visualizations and insights. A strong understanding of SEO, AEO and digital content marketing is essential, as you will be accountable for project outcomes, not just the data.
Build and maintain AEO/LLM visibility models, tracking content performance on emerging platforms such as Google AIOs, Gemini, ChatGPT and others.
Participate in the team's AI agent squad for reporting automation.
Mentor cross-functional team members on analytics best practices and translate technical data decisions for non-technical stakeholders.
About You:
Education: degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
Experience:
4+ years in an analytics, SEO analytics, or data specialist role within a digital marketing or ecommerce environment
Hands-on builder of data infrastructure and reporting systems, not just a user of them
Strong BigQuery and SQL skills, comfortable writing complex queries, managing large datasets and working across GCP environments and integrating via APIs and MCP
Experience building dashboards in Looker Studio, Power BI and/or Periscope
Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals, including technical SEO, organic performance metrics and how analytics maps to SEO and content KPIs
Skills:
Proven ability to proactively develop, drive and evangelize data initiatives across cross-functional teams, aligning stakeholders, managing ambiguity and driving decisions across teams and time zones
Clear communicator who can translate technical decisions for SEO leads, content teams and senior leadership
The broader your experience across the following the stronger a fit you'll be: Amplitude, Snowflake, GA4, Adobe Analytics, GCP services beyond BigQuery, AI/automation frameworks, scripting in Python or R, and attribution platforms
Personal Attributes:
Highly organized and self-directed, you track what's open, who owns what and what's blocking progress without needing a brief to get started
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $133,600 and $178,500. Base salary is one component of Gen's total compensation package, which includes:
401(k) match
Health & Wellness: access to medical, dental and vision insurance plans
Financial Security: opportunities to invest through our Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
Work-Life Balance: unlimited paid time off, company holidays
Professional Development: annual education reimbursement for job related courses
Wellness Reimbursement: to cover fitness related expenses
Additional Perks: access to commuter spending accounts, legal assistance plans, family support services and exclusive employee discounts
Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate's qualifications, experience, skills and competencies related to the role.
