Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Screening in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by screening people and materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and property entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorization for entry to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least two years of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
