Repair and Maintenance Technician Description - Job Summary • This role is responsible for developing proactive work plans for emergency repairs of critical assets and meticulously managing work orders in the asset management system. The role takes the lead in auditing preventative maintenance procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance and operates, monitors, and maintains facility systems while responding promptly to abnormal conditions. The role actively engages in troubleshooting tasks and plays a pivotal role in identifying improvement opportunities and enhancing organizational performance through mentoring and collaboration. Responsibilities • Develops work plans for emergency repairs of critical assets, demonstrating a proactive approach to maintenance. • Creates and diligently closes work orders, including accurate data on labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts utilized in the asset management system. • Leads and meticulously audits preventative maintenance procedures, ensuring optimal equipment performance. • Operates, monitors, and maintains facility systems, promptly responding to any abnormal conditions. • Engages in troubleshooting tasks to identify issues in non-operational equipment and executes equipment modifications as instructed by test or manufacturing engineers. • Documents work orders and service logs for equipment repairs, inspections, installations, and parts replacement. • Coordinates departmental work, identifies improvement opportunities, and ensures effective business controls for streamlined processes. • Leads and assigns responsibilities for complex requests, contributing innovative concepts, and implementing changes for process improvement. • Analyzes tasks, collaborates with internal partners, and provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level roles, aiming to enhance organizational performance. Education & Experience Recommended • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. • Typically has 8+ years of related work experience, preferably in equipment diagnosis, technical repair, blueprint reading, or a related field.
