Your Job

The Shipping and Warehouse Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across warehouse and shipping operations. This position is responsible for creating a safe, efficient, and compliant environment, optimizing all glass movements, and developing a high-performing team that delivers exceptional value to both internal and external customers. In alignment with Guardian's Vision and Principle Based Management.

The role will champion innovation, stewardship, and operational excellence while supporting the plant's long-term success.



What You Will Do

  •  Lead and continuously strengthen a safe, compliant, and high-performing warehouse operation, promoting safety excellence and a strong EH&S culture.
  • Optimize and transform all glass movement processes across the plant to maximize efficiency, reliability, and service levels for internal and external customers.
  • Drive continuous improvement and transformation initiatives across storage, material handling, loading, packaging, systems, and equipment, delivering measurable gains in safety, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse teams to achieve and exceed key performance indicators, including claims, scrap, OTIF, and inventory health.
  • Ensure full understanding and consistent application of compliance programs, company policies, and Guiding Principles across the team.
  • Support the deployment of RREs, decision rights, and performance management processes for warehouse and planning teams, with a strong focus on capability building, innovation, and employee development.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Plant Leadership to achieve business objectives, support organizational priorities, and drive sustainable change.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy, minimize waste and losses, and maintain the safe and effective operation of warehouse facilities and equipment.
  • Lead workforce planning efforts, including the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of warehouse operators and shift managers.
  • Champion a culture of ownership, continuous learning, operational excellence, and value creation aligned with Guardian's Vision and Principle Based Management.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven leadership experience with direct supervisory responsibility in a manufacturing, industrial, or heavy industries environment.
  • Experience leading warehouse, logistics, or material handling operations within a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and drive positive change across teams and organizational levels.
  • Strong understanding of operational hazards, risk management, and safety practices within manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management processes and Process Hazard Assessment.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
