Senior Manager Benefits - Financial
Job Details:
This position manages the Financial Benefits function for Tyson Foods and is a key member of the Total Rewards function, ensuring the company's Financial Benefits are appropriate to the needs of the organization, competitive and compliant. Under the general guidance of the Executive Rewards and Financial Benefits Leader, the responsibilities for this position are to develop, implement and analyze Financial Benefits programs including qualified and non-qualified defined contribution and defined benefit plans, employee stock purchase plan, and broad-based savings and financial wellness benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage strategic planning and design for financial benefit plans and programs, based on data analytics and knowledge of market trends and best practices, to manage plan costs, improve financial wellness of the Team Member population, and ensure offerings are competitive and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance to ensure compliant and accurate plan administration, and seek opportunities to optimize partnerships, including assessment of current vendor performance, screening of new vendors, and making recommendations as needed.
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding the impact of current and pending regulatory, legislative, and reporting and disclosure requirements partnering with internal and external expert resources as necessary.
• Serve as primary point of contact for Executives and internal partners on technical Financial Benefits matters.
• Manage and direct, in partnership with internal partners and vendors, the creation and distribution of communications to drive program engagement and effectiveness.
• Develop various analyses and presentations for Company leadership relative to competitiveness and design of Financial Benefits elements of Team Member total rewards.
• Monitor the effectiveness of programs and recommend modifications to reduce costs and improve delivery.
• Handle escalated inquiries to provide clear resolution and minimize legal risks.
• Oversee financial benefit plan audits in conjunction with Benefits Accounting and external auditors.
• Proactively forecast and manage the financial benefits budget in partnership with Executive Rewards and Financial Benefits Leader.
• Provide M&A due diligence reviews, assessments and implementation strategies.
• Provide specialist advice and guidance on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving complex or contentious queries and issues and enabling others to take appropriate actions.
• Provide strategic guidance and direction to the Equity Compensation administration function in connection with the employee stock purchase plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in 401K plans and ESPP administration.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop effective employee-facing benefits communications.
Computer Skills: Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite. Experience supporting benefits administration platforms such as Workday or SAP. Advanced Excel experience preferred. AI exposure preferred.
Special Skills:
- Proven experience managing benefit vendors and consultants, including evaluation, contract negotiation, and performance management
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience using data to evaluate plan performance, and program effectiveness
- Working knowledge of retirement plan administration and ESPP regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience leading projects, driving operational improvements, and implementing benefit or system changes
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Supervisory: This position will have direct reports.
Travel: Some travel may be required for this position.
