ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you passionate about shaping how organizations use data and AI to drive strategic advantage? We are seeking a Data & AI Advisory Associate Manager to guide clients through the strategy, roadmap, and business case work that underpins their data and AI investments.

This role sits at the intersection of business and technical teams, translating strategic vision into actionable direction for delivery teams to execute against. You will lead advisory workstreams, support business development, and manage day-to-day engagement execution — bringing structure, clarity, and executive-ready thinking to complex data and AI initiatives. If you enjoy shaping strategy as much as seeing it through to delivery, we want to hear from you.

The Work:

  • Lead advisory workstreams for Data & AI engagements, partnering with client and internal stakeholders to shape strategy, roadmaps, and business cases.

  • Act as a trusted advisor and connective tissue between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring solutions stay grounded in business objectives.

  • Support business development by contributing to proposals, points of view, and client presentations that help secure new Data & AI initiatives.

  • Shape conceptual frameworks and solution direction that illustrate compelling Data & AI strategies, weighing build vs. buy trade-offs and responsible AI considerations.

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and governance structures to track value realization and guide post-deployment optimization.

  • Oversee day-to-day delivery execution across one or more workstreams, coordinating cross-functional teams including data science, engineering, and product.

  • Translate complex data and AI concepts into clear, compelling narratives for executive audiences, helping secure leadership alignment and buy-in.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to consultants and analysts, contributing to practice development and knowledge sharing.

Here's What You'll Need:

  • 4+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, or advisory roles, with a focus on shaping Data & AI strategy across both business and technical domains.

  • Demonstrated experience advising on data and AI strategy, roadmaps, and business cases, with the ability to translate fluently between business and technical stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in SQL and visualization tools to deliver insights that inform strategic recommendations.

  • Experience supporting business development, including contributing to proposals and presenting to clients to help secure new opportunities.

  • Strong executive communication skills and presence, with a track record of presenting to senior stakeholders and managing alignment throughout an engagement.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and workstreams (e.g., design, data science, engineering, product) through delivery execution.

  • Experience managing and mentoring a small team, overseeing workload distribution, quality of deliverables, and day-to-day performance

  • Experience contributing to internal practice development, knowledge sharing, and credentialing.

  • A miniumum of a high school diploma or GED is required for this position

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) preferred.

  • Experience in consulting or related business services.

  • Experience presenting at industry conferences or contributing to publications in customer analytics, data, or AI.

  • Familiarity with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), Data Management Platforms (DMPs), and customer analytics tools.

  • Exposure to AI tools and solutions (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, etc.) sufficient to advise on feasibility and design trade-offs, even if not directly building them.

  • Relevant certifications in Data & AI services (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS, Databricks) are a plus.

  • Program management certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, SAFe) are beneficial.

  • Experience with business & analytics platforms such as PowerBI, Looker, and Tableau.

  • Exposure to digital analytics implementation, including tagging for web, paid media, and third-party applications.

  • Understanding of data science concepts like NLP, deep learning, and computer vision, and how they apply in real-world projects.
