Job Description

As a Commercial Account Manager at Avery Dennison, this role offers the opportunity to apply your leadership skills, blending sales support, client relationship management, and product development into one impactful role. This position is ideal for individuals excited about driving growth and establishing strategic partnerships within a global team environment.

Schedule: Hybrid - in office 3 days a week

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Account Strategy Execution: Proactively hunt for and convert white-space opportunities within the apparel industry, consistently achieve or exceed sales objectives for assigned accounts, and independently create account strategies to deliver on top-line growth and maximize profitability.

  • End-to-End Sales Process Management: Act with a deep sense of urgency to own the end-to-end sales process using digital systems and processes (Oracle SalesCloud, Oracle Commerce Cloud, Eloqua, pricing, and product specification tooling), including managing inventory reports, customer sales reports, and product development trackers.

  • Client Relationship & Solution Delivery: Influence client business models by identifying and pitching ideal product options, serve as the primary point of contact ensuring client success through innovative, expert solutions, maintain and strengthen customer relationships by answering questions, and resolve complex order, quality, or deployment issues to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

  • Product Development & Speed-to-Market Sourcing: Lead, oversee, and manage the product development process from initial customer briefing to final approval, deployment, and order acceptance, ruthlessly prioritizing tasks to ensure rapid speed-to-market.

  • Commercial Operations & Team Guidance: Develop and present global price proposals and escalate price approval in competitive bidding processes, participate in store audits, lead customer meetings, maintain account planners, stay up-to-date on industry trends, and mentor and guide Associate Brand Managers as a point of escalation.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business management, sales, or a related field, combined with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the apparel industry, product management, or related commercial roles.
  • Communication & Relationship Management: Proven customer service, communication, and presentation skills, with a demonstrated aptitude for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners.

  • Project Management & Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a flexible attitude with an eagerness to learn, grow, and take on new responsibilities within a global Fortune 500 organization.

  • Technical & Digital Systems Proficiency: High proficiency in technical and digital skills, including the use of Google Suite, ERP platforms (Oracle preferred), pricing tools, and product/customer databases.

  • Data Analytics & Mobility: Strong data analytics skillset to drive strategic decision-making, comfort with quantitative analysis and storytelling using data, and the ability to travel up to 30% annually.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $82,650$ – $123,424/ year.

The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
