This role will be a member of the Clinical & Informatics team and report to the Senior Medical Director of Clinical & Informatics. The role will center around serving as a clinical subject matter expert for our product and project teams and developing and maintaining the clinical data sets that power clinical decision support and drive clinical workflows across our platform.What You'll DoServe as the clinical subject matter expert (SME) for product and project teams, providing guidance on clinical workflows, clinical knowledge, and best practices for clinical dataDesign, build, test, and update clinical data assets that provide clinical decision support and drive clinical workflows, - ensuring their ongoing accuracy, completeness, and clinical validity over timeTranslate clinical requirements into workflow and informatics/data specifications, and validate that delivered features reflect sound clinical reasoningAnalyze clinical data to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement, and apply findings to enhance decision support logic and workflow automationReview technical specifications for clinical workflow applications to provide clinical informatics input - and provide support as SME and IC for product managers leading clinical application productsMaintain and curate mappings to standardized clinical and medical vocabularies, supporting interoperability and consistency across systemsCollaborate with clinical, product, and engineering stakeholders to ensure data-driven features are safe, usable, and clinically meaningfulPartner with clinical leadership to support guideline development, clinical content governance, and quality and product enhancementsWork closely with Quality and Clinical Training/Education teams to identify areas of improvement for clinical workflows across the organization; collaboratively design and implement solutionsOther duties as assignedWho You AreActive, unrestricted clinical license (e.g., MD/DO, PharmD, NP, PA) and current board certification in the relevant clinical discipline requiredFormal training in clinical informatics (e.g., graduate coursework, certificate, or board certification in Clinical Informatics) is strongly preferred5+ years of clinical practice experience required5+ years of experience in hands-on clinical informatics work, to include data development, data analysis, and data maintenanceStrong working knowledge of clinical workflows and experience working in or with multiple EHR systemsDemonstrated clinical informatics experience, ideally in a setting that blends clinical knowledge with data development to support clinical decision making and workflowsHigh Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL requiredKnowledge of and/or experience with FHIR, FHIR resource model, and FHIRpath syntaxComputer proficient with Google Suite, Zoom, Zoho, Notion, Slack and other similar platformsStrong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to reason through complex clinical and data-modeling problemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to act as a translator between clinical and technical audiencesAbility to work cross-functionally across multiple teams and stakeholdersAble to quickly pivot as needed in a rapidly growing startup environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience building or maintaining clinical content, terminology mappings, or decision-support...
