Be the primary liaison for assigned Key Accounts on technical and operational matters  which cannot be solved neither by DATE, nor by the Operational Centres or the surveyor network. Help the assigned Key Accounts maintain smooth technical operations and continuous vessel trade by providing personal attention, outstanding competence and added value in identifying, solving and advising the customer on those technical and operational issues in alignment with DNV’s purpose, business objectives and principles.

The result is that you maintain and develop a trustful win-win relationship and contribute to high customer satisfaction and loyalty which build an important foundation for DNV to maintain a high quality fleet, successfully retain existing business and secure new business.

Team up with the relevant Key Account Manager (KAM) and work collaboratively with the Account Team and all relevant departments within DNV  to ensure that excellent technical customer service levels are delivered.

Be an important part of the Key Account Planning and Implementation process to help the KAM prepare and execute a high-impact Key Account Plan, Account Strategy and Actions that adds value to the customer and to DNV. Provide input to the KAM on the Key Account`s technical needs and expectations, relevant technology and regulatory developments, suitable strategies and actions related to the Key Account`s technical issues and technical operations. Help implement the assigned actions according to plan.

Develop and strengthen the customer relationship, operating at the Key Account`s technical department and technical management levels, to achieve preferred supplier status based on lasting personal relationships and the added value delivered.

Solve and advise on operational requests, customer technical concerns and technical complaints related to survey and audit performance in close collaboration with relevant technical experts and the KAM to ensure continuous vessel trade. Hand over customer requests to DATE or Operations Centres in case the requests fall into the service scope of those units.

Systematically identify any major technical and technical operation challenges and technical concerns related to the DNV interaction with the Key Account and cascade to the KAM and to relevant departments within DNV. Follow-up with the findings and ensure that related improvement activities are executed under utilization of the relevant DNV organization.

Bring in foresight and help spot and resolve potential technical problems before they occur.

Consult the customer on technical matters in meetings, presentations and workshops together or in alignment with the KAM and relevant stakeholders within DNV .  

Train, guide and consult the Key Account on rules and regulations as well as on new tools and new work processes to help them leverage the full value of our solutions and to facilitate customer's planning and implementation into operations.

Measure and monitor the Key Account`s performance on critical technical key performance indicators, address and support improving performance gaps by developing adequate plans and actions in alignment with the KAM and the relevant DNV organization as well as the Key Account.

While your focus is on technical issues, remain attentive towards identifying potential business opportunities and hand those over to the KAM.

Pro-actively stay up to date with relevant industry, regulatory and technology trends and best practices as well as with the relevant DNV products, services, processes and tools to remain relevant towards the Key Accounts.

Liaise with Indian flag for Flag related matters.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the maritime/offshore industry, with exposure to ship and MOU operations, classification requirements, and customer-facing roles.
  • Driven, goal-oriented, and results-focused professional with a proactive approach to achieving business objectives.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and stakeholders.
  • Capable of performing efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
  • Forward-thinking, innovative, and solution-oriented, with strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer engagement and relationship management abilities, with a proven capability to interact effectively at both operational and executive levels.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of the maritime industry, offshore operations, and classification requirements.
  • Experienced in ship and Mobile Offshore Unit (MOU) operations, enabling effective communication and engagement with a diverse customer base.
  • Skilled in working closely with Area Managers, Approval Centre Managers, Production Managers, Business Development Managers, and Key Account Managers (KAMs) to achieve organizational goals.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • International exposure and experience working with multicultural teams and stakeholders are considered a strong advantage.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously, demonstrating leadership, ownership, and accountability.
  • Willing and able to travel as required by the role.
