  • Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain solids control equipment, including centrifuges, shale shakers, vertical cuttings dryers, and centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform preventive maintenance to ensure maximum equipment performance and reliability.
  • Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to safely load drilled cuttings into transport trucks.
  • Handle and dispose of drilling waste in accordance with environmental regulations and customer requirements.
  • Accurately document daily operational activities, maintenance performed, equipment performance, and incidents using Windows, Excel, iOS applications, and other reporting tools.
  • Communicate effectively with rig personnel, field supervisors, NOV support teams, and office staff regarding operational changes, equipment status, and HSE concerns.
  • Follow all NOV, customer, federal, and state Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings, pre-job briefings, and the NOV Observation Program to promote a strong safety culture.
  •  Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on solids control equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance and make operational adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate shift logs, maintenance records, and operational reports.
  • Operate standard office equipment, reporting software, radios, and mobile applications.
  • Safely operate heavy equipment, including excavators, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment as required.
  • Use hand tools and mechanical equipment to perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Work safely in outdoor environments exposed to varying weather conditions, dust, and uneven terrain.
  • Travel and work extended schedules, including nights, weekends, and multiple field locations as business needs require.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience operating and maintaining solids control systems, waste management systems, heavy equipment, or similar industrial equipment required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in remote, fast-paced field environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Excel, iOS applications, and basic computer reporting systems.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Valid government-issued photo identification required.
  • Ability to safely work in extreme weather conditions, climb stairs, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
