We are looking for a visionary, forward-thinking Quality Engineer who views quality holistically and can drive a Quality Engineering throughout the POD.

This role will be based in Cluj Napoca. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As Quality Engineer you will work across multiple teams to embed “shift-left” quality principles, build a scalable test automation approach aligned to the testing pyramid, and continuously improve quality, velocity, and efficiency.

You will bring a strong understanding of industry trends across tools, methods, and practices—and you’ll help implement them where they add value. This role requires a team player with strong leadership skills, the ability to influence stakeholders, and a proven track record delivering enterprise-scale test programs.

We will count on you to:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end testing and quality engineering delivery across enterprise-scale applications/projects

  • Establish and drive a shift-left quality strategy across squads/teams, ensuring consistent adoption of best practices.

  • Own and co-create a test approach to deliver the Test Strategy, including functional and non-functional testing

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in tooling, automation, and test practices—aligned to testing pyramid principles

  • Propose strategies to increase adoption of new tools/technologies that improve testing efficiency and effectiveness

  • Manage testing initiatives from requirements analysis through test strategy, planning, design, execution coordination, documentation, and reporting

  • Mentor and consult with module leads and test leads on test strategy, planning, and test practices

  • Review and validate requirements for different testing phases, ensuring quality deliverables and readiness for each release stage.

  • Provide leadership with meaningful quality insights, including:

    • Quality metrics and dashboards

    • Trends and patterns across releases

    • Test coverage, defect trends, leakage analysis, and risk areas

  • Conduct quality deep-dives and reviews to ensure consistency across teams in line with POD strategy, maturity, priorities, and global approaches

  • Partner with leadership to ensure automation delivers best value and remains aligned with other PODs where beneficial

  • Collaborate across stakeholders to ensure a holistic QA approach, with transparent communication on risks, issues, and dependencies

  • Lead process improvement initiatives focused on Quality, Velocity, and Efficiency, aligned with Business and Operations outcomes

  • Support planning and resourcing activities including skills profiling, training needs identification, and capacity planning

  • Contribute to supplier measures by identifying training requirements and providing input into global KPIs

  • Demonstrate people focus through team building, mentoring, performance evaluation, KPI discussions, and conflict management (internal and external)

  • Build and promote domain expertise within teams to improve quality outcomes

What you need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in testing and managing end-to-end project delivery

  • Demonstrable experience delivering successful test programs for enterprise-scale applications/projects

  • Strong understanding of testing best practices, tools, and policies, with a quality engineering mindset

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions in complex, cross-functional environments

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including client-facing engagement and executive-level reporting

  • Experience contributing to or supporting test environment setup and readiness

  • Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, team-first approach

What makes you stand out?

  • You are a strategic quality professional who can influence across teams and drive consistent standards without slowing delivery

  • You bring thought leadership in automation strategy and can connect quality outcomes to business value
