Manager, Product Master Data Operations
Job Description Summary:
The Manager, Product Master Data Operations is responsible for governing, managing, and ensuring the quality of enterprise Product Master Data across the global supply chain ecosystem. This role serves as a key steward of product-related master data, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance with enterprise governance standards while supporting business operations, digital transformation initiatives, and supply chain processes.
The role maintains and supports global master data processes related to finished goods, semi-finished goods, packaging materials, bills of materials (BOMs), recipes, cold drink equipment, and facilities parts. Working closely with business stakeholders, supply chain functions, technology teams, and Managed Service Providers (MSPs), the Manager drives operational excellence, process standardization, and continuous improvement to ensure trusted master data assets that enable business growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Product Master Data Stewardship & Governance
Serve as a steward for enterprise Product Master Data, ensuring adherence to governance standards, policies, and operational controls.
Manage the lifecycle of product-related master data, including creation, maintenance, updates, retirement, and quality assurance activities.
Partner with Data Governance and Supply Chain stakeholders to maintain data quality standards and stewardship accountability.
Ensure compliance with enterprise master data policies, data standards, and governance requirements.
Support the implementation of data governance initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
Supply Chain Master Data Operations
Maintain and support global master data processes across key supply chain domains, including:
Finished Goods
Semi-Finished Goods
Packaging Materials
Bills of Material (BOMs)
Formulas and Recipes
Cold Drink Equipment
Facilities Parts
Validate master data requests and ensure proper execution of data maintenance processes.
Support product launches, innovation initiatives, packaging changes, and supply chain transformations through timely data management activities.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate master data creation and maintenance for innovation programs and operational initiatives.
Managed Service Provider (MSP) Management
Serve as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and Managed Service Providers responsible for master data execution.
Review, approve, and maintain standard operating procedures governing master data operations.
Provide guidance and operational oversight to ensure data transactions are completed accurately and within established service levels.
Support issue resolution, escalation management, and process improvements across MSP-supported activities.
Monitor operational performance and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency and quality.
Data Quality & Issue Resolution
Monitor master data quality and identify opportunities to improve accuracy, completeness, consistency, and usability.
Resolve data synchronization issues between upstream and downstream systems.
Investigate root causes of data defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with governance teams to implement recommendations that strengthen data quality and operational controls.
Establish metrics and monitoring practices to support data quality objectives.
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders regarding Product Master Data processes and requirements.
Support Operating Units, Supply Chain teams, Innovation teams, and other business functions with master data expertise.
Communicate data impacts, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
Build strong cross-functional partnerships to drive alignment on data requirements, standards, and priorities.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and stewardship awareness across stakeholder groups.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation activities supporting new capabilities and innovation initiatives.
Support digital transformation efforts through the adoption of modern master data management practices and technologies.
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
Contribute to the development of scalable master data solutions supporting global business requirements.
Drive standardization and simplification initiatives across product data processes.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Data Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
Professional certifications related to Data Management, Supply Chain, SAP, GS1, or Master Data Management are preferred.
Related Work Experience
5+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Supply Chain Data Management, Product Information Management, Data Governance, or related disciplines.
Experience supporting complex global master data environments and business processes.
Experience working with Product Master Data, Supply Chain Data, or Product Information Management (PIM) systems.
Experience collaborating with Managed Service Providers and cross-functional business teams.
Experience supporting digital transformation, ERP implementations, or enterprise data initiatives.
Demonstrated experience driving data quality improvements and process optimization.
Experience working within global and matrixed organizations preferred.

United States of America: 112,000 USD - 136,000 USDBase pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
