Senior Product Manager, Digital Payments - Small Business
The Senior Product Manager - Digital Payments will take ownership of core cash management & payment capabilities that small businesses rely on every day to move money securely and efficiently. This role is with Citi's Digital Payments product team and focuses on ACH originations, fraud mitigation and client-facing payment controls while also working at the intersection of product delivery, risk partnership and client experience. This work will define what gets built, shape how it performs and ensure clients have the secure & scalable tools needed to manage payments with confidence.
Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end product management for Digital Cash Management solutions including ACH originations, Real-time Payments & Wire Payments for Small Businesses.
Own the development and optimization of ACH fraud mitigation capabilities, including Positive Pay, Debit Block, and Debit Filter solutions, to protect clients against unauthorized payment activity.
Lead the development and execution of strategic product roadmaps for Payments and Transfers capabilities, coordinating product launches, enhancements, and marketing to maximize business impact.
Shape strategic product roadmaps for payments and cash management capabilities, identifying enhancements that improve processing efficiency and strengthen competitive positioning.
Partner with UX, technology, and analytics teams to translate client needs into scalable, intuitive digital solutions that measurably improve adoption and satisfaction.
Coordinate digital integration efforts with fintech partners, third-party vendors, and internal technology teams to extend capabilities through APIs and embedded banking.
Analyze competitive landscapes, market trends, and client research to identify opportunities and inform product strategy and execution priorities.
Monitor product performance metrics and translate findings into targeted improvements that increase client adoption, payment accuracy, and overall satisfaction.
Develop and apply client and market insights to validate product decisions, identify gaps in current capabilities, and prioritize the most impactful enhancements.
Experience:
6-10 years experience in product management, with direct ownership of payment products or cash management capabilities across their full lifecycle.
Practical knowledge of ACH, Wires, Real-Time payments processing and payment operations with the ability to translate that expertise into product decisions that improve client outcomes.
Analytical capability to interpret product performance data, identify client pain points, and build evidence-based cases for product investment and prioritization.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders and articulate complex payment concepts in plain language.
Ability to manage competing priorities independently, maintain delivery pace under pressure, and adjust quickly when requirements or timelines shift.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent university qualification is required.
Additional Experience & Qualifications:
Background in small business payments, acquisitions, or product analytics within financial services
Familiarity with API-based payment processing or experience defining product requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree. Master’s degree preferred
