Insituform’s businesses consist of sewer, drinking water and energy and mining pipeline rehabilitation and protection. The Company provides cost-effective solutions to remediate operational, health, regulatory and environmental problems resulting from aging and defective pipelines. Insituform’s technologies allow its customers to avoid the extraordinary expense and extreme disruption that can result from traditional "dig and replace" methods. Position SummaryThe Installation Technician is responsible for the installation of Flow Control Systems for various municipal, industrial, storm and sewer line rehab and repair projects.Position Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesPrimary responsibilities include the following: Hands on approach to completing tasksWork effectively to complete equipment setupGain working knowledge of pumps and bypass system for everyday operationsDuring bypass operation, expected to monitor the system and address any issues that may ariseConfined space entry required.Learn/train on Insituform’s products, processes, safety procedures, installation techniques and us of equipment.Travel –Regional and National travel for potential long/short term projectsDrive various vehicles and construction equipment.Preferred: HDPE pipe fusion knowledge, Fusion machine operation experiencePreferred: Pump/pumping system knowledgeGeneral mechanical knowledge/skillShould be familiar with general construction hand tools and power toolsIs ready to take on new challenges and is willing to learnCapable of working with minimal oversite but willing to follow instructions closely.Perform set up and clean up tasks at jobsite/shop.Other tasks, as assigned.Qualification RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
