Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Material Planning Analyst located in Austin TX.
Reporting to the Materials Manager the Material Planning Analyst role involves maintaining materials/purchasing data, supplying data and information to other production departments, coordinate contracts, maintaining Certificates of Conformance for all suppliers, and creating and maintain outsources parts schedules.
Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
- Familiar With Multilevel BOM structure (Bill of Materials).
- Experience with PCBA and SMT backend
- Clear understanding of Lead time, minimum quantities and re-order points when planning electronics.
- Know how to prepare and review shortage reports to communicate clearly to build to upper management and production control staff.
- Prepares summary reports, spreadsheets, and charts based on research of data from multiple sources, which may include but will not be limited to customer bills of material reports, PPV tracking, Freight tracking.
- Familiar with Inventory level controls and Excess and Obsolescence disposition.
- Strong Analytical capability in identifying demand & Supply trends, seasonality impact and promotional impact.
- Good knowledge with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and good experience using ERP, Planning tools such as SAP, Agile, Kinaxis / Rapid Response, Oracle, Baan.
- An excellent team player flexible to change willing to be part of a complex organization
- Experience with Contract Manufacturing planning, experiences with supply chain functionality and good understanding of Demand Supply in a fast-paced environment.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Work collaboratively within all levels of the organization.
- Solution driven.
- Able to Prioritize and Multitask with a strong sense of urgency
Here is some of what you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
- 5 years of experience in materials or related field.
- Expert in Pivot Tale including Excel worksheet
- Background in electronics manufacturing is desired.
