Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer/ Principal Electrical Engineer in support of the Sentinel program. This position is located: Roy, UT.
What You’ll Get To Do
The Command System team oversees the ground design of multiple electrical components required at different Sentinel weapon system facilities located across the nation.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
* Attending internal program, and/or technical exchange meetings
* Support formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.
* Working in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
* Ensure appropriate coordination between electrical design and other integration teams.
* Coordinate electrical system engineering content and work products.
* Support electrical design of Command System hardware
* Create interconnect diagrams in support of the Command Systems Architecture development
* Review engineering deliverables such as one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, part data sheets, interconnect connect diagrams, specifications, electrical analysis and trade studies
* May perform research, trade studies, evaluation, and systems integration in electrical or electro-mechanical systems, cables, connectors, power systems, test equipment, and more.
* Possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively to understand system level interdependencies that impact electrical requirements and design constraints.
Basic Qualifications:
Engineer Electrical:
* Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, or 0 years of experience with a Master’s degree.
Principal Engineer Electrical:
* Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 2 years of experience with a Master’s degree, or 0 years of experience with a PhD.
Both Levels:
* Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance.
* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
* Experience with Systems Engineering methods and design practices.
* Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc).
* Must have experience developing electrical designs using tools such as Capital, AutoCAD, or similar design software tools.
* Knowledge of interconnect architecture development
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
