Accountant, Banking Operations Support

The Accountant - Banking Operations Support role is responsible for supporting banking and accounting operations through account reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting support, and related general accounting activities. Working under general supervision, this position executes established accounting policies and procedures, ensures the accuracy of financial records, and supports compliance with internal controls and corporate requirements. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across global locations.

Trinzic is being established as an independent public company through the planned separation of KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business, which is expected to be completed on January 4, 2027. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform account reconciliations for various bank accounts, including investigation and resolution of reconciling items.
  • Collect and review bank statements, prepare journal entries, and support month-end close activities.
  • Prepare accruals, foreign exchange variance reports, and analysis of general ledger account balances and transactions.
  • Identify payroll mismatches, return payments, foreign exchange gains and losses, and coordinate with appropriate teams for timely resolution and recording.
  • Support accounting activities including billing, revenue recognition, project accounting, fixed asset accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting as assigned.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across global locations to support accounting processes and resolve operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records, files, and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and accepted accounting practices.
  • Support internal and external audit requests and ensure compliance with SOX requirements, business controls, and corporate accounting policies.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications to prepare analyses, reports, and financial information.
  • Perform other duties and special assignments as required.

Basic Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Professional accounting qualification (CA, CMA/CWA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 2+ years of relevant accounting experience; or
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience supporting accounting functions such as account reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close activities, and financial reporting.
  • Experience working in a multinational organization, shared services environment, or finance and accounting function preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholders and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and willing to learn new processes, systems, and accounting disciplines.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work within established timelines.
  • Flexibility to support business requirements related to work schedules and work arrangements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP and financial systems such as Costpoint, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Cadency, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting banking operations, account reconciliations, or shared services accounting functions.
  • Exposure to one or more accounting areas including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, Billing, General Accounting, Project Accounting, Tax, or Corporate Accounting.
  • Experience working with foreign currency transactions and global banking activities.
  • Experience in finance and accounting functions within a multinational environment.
