Job Description
SGS is seeking Production Coordinator to join the team here in Perth.
Responsibilities include, however are not limited to:
- Take ownership to prioritize and expedite samples in the Sample preparation department to meet client turnaround times and agreed productivity KPIs.
- Solve analytical problems with respect to sample preparation
- Liaise with Client Services and Sample preparation manager to ensure sample priorities are adhered to and turnaround times are met.
- Address and close out non-conformances, corrective actions and improvement requests (mentor and oversee staff with regards to non-conformance close-outs, corrective actions and preventative actions).
- Provide direction and technical expertise in analytical problems with regards to Sample Preparation
- Responsible for effective and appropriate use of equipment and facilities.
- Responsible for development, effective utilization and supervision of human resources within the department, including training, recruitment and performance management.
- Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives to improve Sample throughput, Quality and Safety.
- Must comply and conform to the Quality Management System (ISO 17025 and NATA).
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in geochemical laboratories
- Sound experience in sample preparation of geological samples
- Sound experience in most, if not all, laboratory analysis areas
- Sound experience with G6 and other operational software
- Demonstrable experience in Sample Preparation techniques and sampling protocols
