Room Chef – Beach Café, Harrah’s Laughlin

We’re looking for a seasoned and highly motivated Room Chef for our Beach Café, someone who brings strong culinary leadership, a passion for guest‑focused service, and the ability to deliver consistent, high‑quality food in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. This leader will oversee daily kitchen operations, guide and develop culinary team members, uphold Caesars Entertainment’s food safety and quality standards, and ensure the Beach Café delivers exceptional dishes that match our signature Family Style hospitality. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands‑on role, excels at coaching teams, and maintains a sharp focus on cost control, menu execution, and operational excellence.

• Work with Restaurant Manager and front of the house staff to ensure positive guest experience. 

• Ensure quality food product and presentations 

• Teach and develop staff while serving a consistent product with pride. 

• Maintains food cost, labor cost, and expenses within budget guidelines. 

• Writing and posting line level employees schedule in a timely manner. 

• Monitoring and signing off online level employee timecards. 

• Report any equipment in need of repair or service to the chef and engineering. 

• Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental and Company policies 

• Must be able to cook and create new, innovative, and imaginative recipes. 

• You must be able to react quickly and resolve problems. 

• Support and foster loyalty and always conduct business in a professional manner. 

• Deliver Caesars Entertainment’s Family‑Style Service to all guests and team members

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED 

 

• Must be 21 years of age or older 

• Proficient in English verbal and written 

• Proficient with iOS devices  

• Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays 

• Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner. 

• Work prefers a minimum of a two-year Culinary Arts School, or equivalent technical training in the food industry. 

• Minimum of two years’ experience as line level Supervisor or Chef in specialty room, Casual Dining or Buffet Restaurant environment. 

• Must present a neat and professional appearance. 

• Work prefers Bilingual abilities 

• Work requires flexibility to work various shift 

• Health Card Required 

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

 

• Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds 

• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds  

• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively  

• Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period 

• Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period 

• Ability to work in a smoking environment 

• Fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint.  

• Must be able to handle heavy business volume, and sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems, in a timely manner.  

• Compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.
