Logistics Associate, Greater China
Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a Logistics Associate, Greater China Operations to support day-to-day logistics execution across China and the Greater China region. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound imports into China, domestic transportation and delivery operations, export shipments from China to global markets, and inventory movements across warehouses and logistics partners.
The Associate will work closely with logistics teams across North America, Europe, and APAC, as well as freight forwarders, customs brokers, transportation providers, factories, and 3PL warehouse partners to ensure products move efficiently, compliantly, and on time through the logistics network. Key responsibilities include import customs clearance, domestic transportation coordination, warehouse receiving follow-up, export execution, and logistics issue resolution.
Success in this role means products are imported, transported, received, and made available for sale on time while maintaining high service levels, compliance, and operational accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Import, Export & Customs Operations
- Coordinate inbound shipments into China from North America, Europe, and other international origins, including air, ocean, and parcel transportation.
- Coordinate export shipments from China factories and warehouses to regional and global destinations, ensuring timely execution and compliance with shipping requirements.
- Monitor end-to-end shipment progress, proactively identify risks, and resolve transportation exceptions to ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate import and export customs clearance activities by working closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, customs declarations, and supporting records to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Ensure adherence to Incoterms, customs requirements, and cross-border trade regulations.
- Partner with regional supply chain teams (sourcing/logistics) to align shipment priorities, production schedules, and transportation plans for product launches and street-date commitments.
Domestic Transportation & Warehouse Coordination
- Manage domestic transportation activities within China, including warehouse replenishment, inventory transfers, customer deliveries, and return shipments.
- Coordinate transportation providers and monitor shipment performance to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries.
- Work closely with 3PL warehouse partners to ensure inbound inventory is received, put away, systemically transacted, and released for sale within agreed timelines.
- Support inventory transfers between warehouses and logistics locations, including bonded warehouse and U-turn operations where applicable.
- Investigate and resolve transportation, receiving, and inventory-related exceptions in a timely manner.
Logistics Partner Management
- Serve as the day-to-day operational contact for carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, factories, and 3PL warehouse partners.
- Monitor logistics partner performance and service levels, identifying operational gaps and escalating issues when required.
- Support new lane setup and operational readiness testing as the network expands.
- Maintain logistics SOPs and operational controls to ensure consistent execution across logistics partners.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track logistics KPIs include on-time delivery, customs clearance performance, transportation lead times, and shipment exceptions.
- Maintain logistics records, shipment tracking reports, and operational documentation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support logistics optimization initiatives.
- Assist with logistics projects and operational process enhancements as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, customs operations, warehouse coordination, or supply chain execution.
- Experience supporting import/export operations and customs clearance processes in Greater China.
- Experience coordinating domestic transportation and logistics service providers.
- Familiarity with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transportation carriers, and 3PL warehouses.
- Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP, WMS, TMS, or logistics management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in retail, consumer goods, e-commerce, or international trading environments.
- Knowledge of bonded warehouse operations and cross-border logistics processes.
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, SAP, CargoWise, or similar logistics platforms.
- Experience working with multiple logistics partners across China.
