- Serves as a liaison with medical staff, maintaining productive relationships and ensuring timely communication with physician stakeholders.
- Orients new employees and medical staff members in Quality Improvement, Infection Prevention, Risk Management, Just Culture, Accreditation, and Patient Safety.
- Fosters an environment of service excellence for patients, families, physicians, and the community.
- Provides oversight and support for corporate responsibility through monitoring and audit plans.
- Models shared decision-making to build collaborative relationships with executives, department directors, Board members, and medical staff.
- Serves as a resource for various initiatives and educates senior leadership teams.
- Drives strategies to improve outcomes for publicly reported data.
- Facilitates implementation of the organizational performance improvement plan, overseeing relevant committees and team meetings.
- Directs and oversee activities of Patient Safety/Ethics, Clinical Best Practice, Performance Improvement, Infection Prevention, and Medical Review committees.
- Reports to the Board on performance improvement activities, risk management trends, risk reduction strategies, and safety culture plans.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure quality care and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborates with administration, medical staff, nursing, and ancillary departments to promote a culture of quality improvement and safety.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of legal aspects of healthcare, medical staff issues and performance improvement principles [Required]
- Advanced knowledge of regulatory guidelines [Required]
- Expert interpretation of raw data and comparative analysis [Required]
- Exceptional communication skills including the ability to influence in a collaborative manner [Required]
- Ability to work with data that is sensitive and confidential [Required]
- Ability to influence and persuade teams, up to and including the executive level, to build consensus within and across stakeholder groups (high level negotiation skills) [Required]
- Knowledge of regulatory (TJC/CMS/AHCA) standards/survey processes with the ability to integrate regulatory requirements into daily activities, learning and the development of the quality assurance, performance improvement and patient safety plans [Required]
- English-language proficient with effective writing, listening, speaking/teaching communication skills [Required]
- Mastery of performance improvement methodology and tools. [Required]
- Analytical and managerial ability; motivational and team building skills. [Required]
- Excellent computer skills including quality databases and Microsoft Office products [Required]
- Facilitation of various PI methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, PDSA, etc.) [Preferred]
- Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and tools [Preferred]
Education:
- Bachelor's [Required]
- Master's [Preferred]
Field of Study:
- in healthcare related field
Work Experience:
- 3+ experience in quality, compliance, risk or patient safety [Required]
- 5+ healthcare management experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) [Preferred]

- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$103,498.83 - $192,502.92Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
