About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
About The Role
We’re seeking a self-starter Technical SEO & AI Search Optimization Manager to transform how Salesforce Japan shows up across search and AI-powered answer experiences.
This is not your typical SEO role. We’re looking for someone with data-driven technical SEO expertise, hands-on experience with web technologies and analytics, and the curiosity to shape the future of organic growth in the age of AI.
As customers increasingly use AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other answer engines to research, compare, and make decisions, Salesforce Japan needs to ensure its content is discoverable, understandable, trusted, and selected.
You will own the technical foundation of organic visibility across Salesforce Japan's digital properties.
This includes site architecture, strategic internal linking, crawlability, indexation, structured data, page quality, and content accessibility for search and AI systems while advancing Salesforce Japan's Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategy.
What You’ll Do
Build the Answer Engine Optimization Framework
Build and execute Salesforce Japan's AEO strategy across AI-powered search and answer experiences.
Analyze how Salesforce is represented across AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other answer engines, and identify opportunities to improve AI visibility and authority.
Develop measurement frameworks to evaluate AI visibility, citation patterns, competitive positioning, content gaps, and business impact.
Lead Technical SEO for Salesforce Japan
Own the technical SEO roadmap for Salesforce.com/jp, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact, search opportunity, and execution complexity.
Improve the technical foundation, including site architecture, internal linking, crawlability, indexation, structured data, and overall site health.
Monitor technical performance using Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, GA4, and BI dashboards to identify issues and prioritize improvements.
Drive Data-led Experimentation
Move fast in a rapidly changing search landscape by forming hypotheses, running experiments, and turning learnings into scalable recommendations.
Analyze performance across key page types including product, industry, and blog to identify growth opportunities, prioritize experiments, and define success metrics. Document learnings that help Salesforce Japan continuously improve organic growth.
Scale SEO Operations with AI
Design and build AI workflows, AI agents, internal tools, and automation to help Marketing teams scale SEO operations more efficiently, in partnership with the Global SEO team.
Build prompts, scripts, templates, dashboards, and QA workflows that improve consistency, accelerate execution, and enable cross-functional teams to apply best practices at scale.
What Experience You Have
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience in SEO, Technical SEO, Web Growth, or Web Analytics.
Hands-on experience with technical SEO for large websites, including crawlability, indexation, internal linking, URL structure, redirects, canonical tags, structured data, JavaScript rendering, and page performance.
Experience using SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Semrush, Ahrefs, GA4, Tableau, Looker Studio, or similar platforms.
Strong ability to analyze data, identify root causes, prioritize opportunities, and turn findings into clear recommendations and action plans.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS operations, structured data, and schema.org.
Experience building workflow automation using tools such as Claude Code, Apps Script, SQL, BigQuery, or similar technologies.
Native or fluent Japanese and business-level English communication skills.
Curiosity and hands-on experimentation mindset around AI Search, answer engines, automation, and the future of organic discovery.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software / technology, or a large-scale B2B website with global domain.
8+ years of experience in SEO, Technical SEO or Web Analytics.
Experience with Answer Engine Optimization or AI Search Optimization.
Experience with log file analysis, JavaScript SEO, rendering diagnostics, and site performance optimization.
Experience working across complex web ecosystems with multiple products, solutions, industries, regions, funnels, and stakeholder groups.
Experience connecting SEO work to business outcomes such as leads, opportunities, pipeline, revenue influence, or self-serve conversion.
