  • Leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented high-performance culture that emphasizing quality, productivity, goal attainment and empowerment.

  • Develops annual HR-related plans and programs to address business needs for the sites.  

  • Develops processes and metrics that support the achievement of the company’s business goals.

  • Manages and directs the activities of the human resources staff.

  • Ensures compliance with Company policies and ensures a consistent practice.  Proactively identifies problems central to business strategy and forecasts potential obstacles to success.

  • Defines and manages the HR budget.

  • Oversee programs administered by the HR department, which includes employee wellness, engagement activities, benefits, staffing, on boarding, & professional development.

  • Responds to escalated HR or personnel issues. Conducts confidential investigation.

  • Ensures organization follows regulatory requirements within the HR function.

  • Acts as a coach for managers regarding employee relations issues including performance improvement & development plans and progressive discipline.

  • Responds to escalated Human Resource issues including investigation of internal and external complaints.

  • Keeps abreast of current trends, practices, and developments in the profession.  Make recommendations for implementation.

  • Acts within scope of authority consistent with Company objectives, guidelines, policies, and practices.

  • Performs additional duties or assignments as directed by management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Solid communication in both English and Spanish.

  • Labor Legislation knowledge.

  • Strategic Planning capabilities

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to interact with all levels in the organization.

  • Well organized, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficient in Microsoft products.

  • Ability to lead and effect change.

 Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in H.R. function with minimum 5 years' experience in managerial capacity of a manufacturing plant.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
