We're seeking a dynamic, people-first Business Office Director to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys making a meaningful impact through talent acquisition, employee engagement, culture building, leadership coaching, and operational excellence.

As the community's senior Human Resources leader, you'll play a key role in shaping the employee experience from recruitment and onboarding through development and retention. You'll partner closely with department leaders to build high-performing teams, champion engagement initiatives, and foster a workplace culture where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to do their best work.

What You'll Do

Human Resources Leadership 

As the community's HR leader, you'll create an exceptional employee experience while supporting organizational goals and workforce success.

  • Serve as a trusted HR partner and advisor to leaders and team members
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding top talent
  • Create engaging onboarding experiences that set team members up for long-term success
  • Drive employee engagement, recognition, retention, and culture-building initiatives
  • Coach leaders on employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, and development
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices
  • Manage employee records and HRIS updates, including status changes and employment documentation
  • Administer benefits, leave programs, workers' compensation, and employee life-cycle processes
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, and staffing strategies
  • Analyze and report on key HR metrics including turnover, retention, recruiting, and engagement trends

Payroll & Business Office Leadership 

  • Oversee payroll processing and related reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Support department leaders with timekeeping and payroll practices
  • Process employee status, compensation, and benefit changes accurately and timely
  • Review employee expense reports and business office documentation
  • Serve as a resource regarding purchasing, invoice coding, and budget-related procedures
  • Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure timely invoice management

Team Leadership

  • Lead and support Front Desk/Reception team members
  • Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop team members
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and support
  • Foster a hospitality-driven culture centered on service excellence and resident satisfaction

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience
  • Experience in talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, payroll administration, and compliance
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of employment practices, employee engagement, and payroll processes
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or multi-site/multi-department experience
  • Experience serving as an HR business partner to operational leaders
