The team owns all the executive reporting, insights, and predictive modeling in support of Wealth Management business. The use of analytics and data will be a key driver in accelerating growth across client segments, enabling data-driven decision making and delivering the best client experience.Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced professional to join the Analytics & Data organization who will be responsible for analytics for Financial Planning team within Morgan Stanley’s Global Investment Office (GIO). The candidate will be involved in building the analytics infrastructure for Financial Planning, with a focus on uncovering opportunities to deepen client engagement and improve financial planning efficacy and effectiveness. The candidate will work with data in a hands-on capacity to provide analytics, insights, and business intelligence that will help decision making and strategy. They will be responsible for owning delivery of key reports to US-based team members and leadership. The ideal candidate will display a high-level of autonomy, curiosity about data, and the ability to determine timely solutions while also thinking strategically to drive business results.Key Responsibilities:Key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:Support US-based colleagues with reporting, insights generation, and process optimization/maintenance for Financial Planning analytics. Focus areas will be performance measurement through KPI reporting, analytical deep dives, client and platform engagement, and ad hoc strategic requestsLeverage data across disparate sources/formats to create and maintain new and innovative datasets and solutions while continuing to streamline existing processes to improve efficiency.Create comprehensive and consistent reporting and visualization suites to enable and enhance regular reporting and benchmark creation.Design and Develop efficient analytical solutions with focus on automation for new as well as existing processes.Partner with Data Strategy, Infrastructure, and Tech teams to drive continuous improvement in processes and platforms, while establishing self as the SMEExperience:Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering/mathematics; MBA or other advanced degree preferredA minimum of 6 years of experience in Data & Analytics (overall 6-9 years), preferably in the financial services industryRequired Skills:Strong proficiency in SQL and expertise in hands-on data analytics and sourcing data from multiple data platformsProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and understanding of the end-to-end set-up of a dashboard as well as automated process setup for regular reporting processes is desirable.Basic familiarity with...
