Shop Assistant

Sentradel builds autonomous counter-drone systems in San Francisco. We design, build, and test hardware that finds and defeats drones. We are looking for a hands-on Shop Assistant to keep our build floor running and support the engineering team.

 

What you will do:

- Cut, trim, and prep metal stock and raw materials for builds

- Keep the shop clean, organized, and stocked at all times

- Support the engineers and the wider team with whatever the build needs

- Receive shipments, track parts, and stage materials for projects

- Run basic shop equipment and hand and power tools safely

- Set up and break down work areas and keep tools where they belong

- Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe, orderly workspace

 

What we are looking for:

- Hands on, mechanically inclined, and not afraid of physical work

- Comfortable with hand tools, power tools, and cutting equipment

- Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented

- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet for long stretches

- Good attitude, takes initiative, easy to work with

- Must be a US person (US citizen or green card holder) due to the nature of our work

 

Nice to have, not required:

- Experience cutting or fabricating metal

- Shop, machining, automotive, or construction background

- Interest in robotics, drones, or hardware

 

Hours are flexible and negotiable
