As a Shipping Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our supply chain process, ensuring the timely and efficient shipment of our products worldwide. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing team performance and meeting shipping department targets. Reporting to the Inventory Manager, you will collaborate closely with warehouse colleagues and other departments within the organization.
  • Oversee the efficient shipment of products globally, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team and other departments to optimize the flow of goods.
  • Implement strategies to meet business and customer requirements, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Utilize shipping experience to enhance team performance and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and control the movement of goods to maintain efficient operations.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all shipments.
  • Communicate with customers and provide updates on shipment status.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Support the Inventory Manager in achieving department goals and objectives.
  • Proven work experience as a Shipping Specialist or similar role.
  • 2-3 years experience of shipping International shipments 
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Ability to be on call as needed
  • Excellent knowledge of shipping processes and regulations.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using shipping management software and systems.
  • Analytical skills to identify process improvements and optimize operations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
  • Willingness to learn and stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Physical Qualifications:

  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and medical examination screening.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, maintain balance while performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through speaking and listening.
  • Flexibility to frequently bend, twist, squat, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull while performing repetitive tasks.
