Your Role
As an SAP MDG Developer, you will contribute to the design, enhancement, and support of enterprise Master Data Governance solutions within SAP environments. This B2-level role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in SAP MDG development, workflow management, and data governance processes who are passionate about delivering high-quality master data solutions that drive business consistency and operational excellence.
You will collaborate with business stakeholders, data stewards, functional teams, and technical experts to support master data processes, improve data quality, and ensure seamless integration across SAP and non-SAP systems. Working within a dynamic and Agile environment, you will help organizations strengthen governance frameworks while enabling efficient and compliant master data operations.
What you can expect in this role
- Support and maintain SAP MDG solutions across master data governance processes.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Change Request (CR) processing, workflow, and BRF+ rule issues.
- Investigate and resolve UI/FPM configuration and application defects.
- Support data replication activities and troubleshoot DRF, key mapping, SOA services, and integration issues.
- Develop and enhance SAP MDG data models, business rules, validations, and derivation logic.
- Implement enhancements using BAdIs, workflow configurations, and SAP development best practices.
- Collaborate with data stewards and business teams to improve data quality and governance standards.
- Participate in root cause analysis activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage transports and support deployment activities across multiple environments.
- Maintain governance documentation, audit evidence, SOPs, and compliance-related artifacts.
- Contribute to data governance strategies and process optimization initiatives.
Your Profile
- Strong experience working with SAP MDG and Master Data Governance processes in enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of master data domains, governance frameworks, and data quality management.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical and functional issues.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across business and technology teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality solutions in fast-paced environments.
Qualifications
· 4-5 years with SAP MDG (on S/4HANA preferred): data models (MDG-M, MDG-C, MDG-S, MDG-F), UI/FPM, BRF+, BAdIs.
· Experience with workflow, change request processing, DQR, and Data Replication Framework (DRF).
· Integration knowledge with ECC/S/4, SLT, PI/PO, and downstream systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Support MDG CR processing, workflow errors, BRF+ rule defects, and UI/FPM issues.
· Troubleshoot replication failures (DRF), key mapping, SOA services, and derivation/validation logic.
· Execute data model enhancements, UI configs, rules, and BAdI-based fixes with transports.
· Partner with stewards for data quality remediation and continuous governance improvements.
· Maintain audit/compliance artifacts, SOPs, and conduct RCAs for recurring issues.
