Senior Sales Strategy Manager – Business Banking
Overview:
The Business Banking Senior Sales Strategy Manager will align industry priorities, product readiness, and go-to-market strategy for measurable growth across all Business Banking segments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving industry-led growth across Business Banking segments including industry sizing, segmentation, and prioritization framework.
- Lead cross-functional planning and prioritization to align roadmaps, campaigns, and sales strategies to industry needs.
- Help create messaging/value props, playbooks, pitch decks, talk tracks, and objection handling and coordinate enablement with Segment Leads.
- Build and manage strategic industry partnerships (e.g., bar associations) to expand reach, generate leads, and accelerate customer growth.
- Define success metrics and provide industry pipeline and forecast insights; partner with sales leaders to identify trends, blockers, and opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement via post-implementation reviews, process refinement, and scaling best practices across segments.
- Monitor competitors and disruptors and provide actionable guidance for sales and product teams.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Maintain an awareness of key priorities throughout the Bank and how they may impact Business Banking.
- Keep up-to-date on business and market trends that may affect the business/department.
- Be flexible. Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years relevant experience,
OR in lieu of a degree,
A combined minimum of 11 years’ higher education and/or work experience including 7 years relevant experience
2 years of Management Experience
7+ years of experience in sales strategy or business banking strategy, with demonstrated impact on revenue growth
