THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT DOTT Full-time, permanent, and hybrid (3 days/week in the office). Location: Milano, or any city in Italy with the ability to travel. Availability to travel: mostly daily trips in Italy (3 -4 times a month). We believe in a future where cities are pollution-free and designed for people, not cars. By offering shared electric scooters and e-bikes as clean, convenient alternatives for short-distance travel, we're working to make that future real, city by city. We're looking for a Public Policy Manager to support our growth in Italy and strengthen our relationships with key stakeholders such as municipalities, institutions, and partners. This is a hybrid role: it combines high-level institutional relationship-building with hands-on, detail-oriented execution — from shaping public policy conversations to producing accurate, on-time contributions to tenders and reports. The ideal candidate is as comfortable building trust with a mayor's office as they are proofreading a document the night before a deadline. The Public Policy Manager will report to the Public Policy Director and can be based in Milan (preferred) or any Italian city, with availability to travel frequently across the country. What you’ll do: Identify and prioritise expansion opportunities in Italy, and build Dott’s positioning and knowledge base for each Contribute developing the local communities of users, increasing their engagement though dedicated commercial activities and offers Support the users and the city satisfaction, working with local operations teams on concrete improvement plans Contribute to building a lasting network of partnerships around Dott, in support of the wider team's goals Build and maintain trust-based relationships with municipalities and other external stakeholders, showing reliability and proactivity in every interaction Collaborate with local Administrations to strategically shape market regulations in line with best-in-class standards Represent Dott at public policy-related local events Organise policy-relevant activities Research and monitor the political and regulatory landscape in Italy, turning it into clear, actionable reporting for internal stakeholders Own Dott’s contribution to the tender application process end-to-end: defining Dott's strategic positioning, drafting accurate and timely local content, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks ahead of submission deadlines YOU’LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS of 3-5 years experience in public affairs/policy, project management, institutional relations, policy-related consulting, mobility consulting, or similar; A track record of taking full ownership of projects from start to finish, with problem-solving attitude and strong attention to detail; Experience in external relationships, negotiation and representation, ideally backed by an established network within city administrations, political parties, non-profit associations, or mobility-related public and private stakeholders Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and stakeholders without losing precision Strong writing skills in Italian and English (correspondence, proposals, etc.); A degree in Law, Business, Political Science, International Relations, or similar (a Master's in public affairs or business development is a plus) Ability to stay calm under pressure, with sound problem-solving and critical-thinking skills A proactive, hands-on attitude — comfortable both setting strategy and personally getting a document or a stakeholder list over the line Event management skills and a genuine passion for green mobility Ability to work well in a cross-functional, multi-cultural environment, across multiple teams simultaneously THIS MAY INSPIRE YOU 🏢 Hybrid work: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home 💻 Our one-time home office bonus upon your start to create your ideal home office setup 📚 Our annual learning & development budget 🛴 Our rides program with availability to opt in and opt out to ride our e-scooters & e-bikes ☀️ Our partnership for mental health at work, with free 1-on-1 video counselling, self-guided development, and more 🌴 Our sabbatical program ⏳ Our flexible hours and 1-month remote working option 🏳️‍🌈 Our diversity and inclusivity initiatives and programs 🎉 Our public holiday swap, with which you can switch two public holidays to another day 🌍 Our voluntary day off for charity work * Benefits may vary depending on country and position We actively encourage a diverse and inclusive environment that fosters each employee’s individuality at Dott.
