Business Intelligence Engineer

Dhaka, BangladeshFullTimePosted Aug 3, 2026

At Commure, we're building the AI Operating System for healthcare, the foundation that defines how care is delivered, documented, and financed. Our platform spans the full care journey: Ambient AI and Dictation eliminating documentation burden at the point of care, intelligent Agents automating patient and revenue workflows, and autonomous RCM processing billions in claims, all on a single AI-native platform integrated with 60+ EHRs.

Healthcare carries a $1 trillion administrative burden and we're at the center of transforming it. Today, 500,000+ clinicians across 500+ healthcare organizations nationwide trust Commure to handle $25B+ in annual claims and support over 200 million patient interactions. Our latest $70M raise at a $7B valuation reflects the confidence the market has placed in this mission. We've also been named to the Fortune Future 50 list and the 2026 AI Breakthrough Awards for “Overall NLP Company of the Year.”

Our team works directly alongside clinicians, not through layers of process, which means the gap between what you build and its impact on patient care is immediate. We move fast, deploy daily, and take full ownership from early thinking to production. If you're energized by hard problems, high stakes, and a team that holds itself to a high bar, you'll find your people here.

The future of healthcare is being built right now. Come deliver this transformation.

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to support our Global Operations department in scaling the infrastructure for our core product lines (including Ambient Assist and Ambient Live). This role sits squarely at the intersection of software engineering, data architecture, and business operations. You will step beyond traditional analytics to design, build, and deploy custom internal applications, automated workflows, and robust ETL pipelines that power our day-to-day business execution.

Working within modern development environments (including Retool, Vercel, and custom API integrations), you will be a core driver in process and application implementation, migrating away from legacy tools, centralizing our technical operations solutions. The ideal candidate will either have a Software Engineering background with a strong pivot into Analytics, or an Analytics/Data Engineering background heavily supplemented by full-stack web development.

What You’ll Do

  • Application & Tooling Development: Build robust, interactive internal applications, custom front-end workflows, and automations (via platforms like Retool, Vercel, Cursor, or custom web apps) using advanced JavaScript and Python.

  • Data Pipeline Architecture: Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries and data models to extract, manipulate, and aggregate data. Architect and maintain reliable ETL pipelines to support rapid operational scaling and AI/LLM integrations.

  • UI/UX Design & Development: Design intuitive, reliable UI/UX workflows that reduce manual effort for non-technical operators with a goal to simplify complexity without sacrificing capability.

  • Technical Governance & CI/CD: Strictly implement and adhere to version control and deployment pipelines (e.g., Git, GitHub PRs, Dev -> Release environments) to ensure all data products and front-end tools meet rigorous engineering QA standards.

  • Systems Implementation: Able to independently manage implementation of systems processes, enable automated workflows / CRONs, and set up centralized, scalable operational databases and applications.

  • Database & Schema Design: Apply advanced table design principles (normalization, indexing, key constraints) when building datasets or proposing schema changes to optimize performance across the data warehouse.

  • Process Automation: Develop automated scripts, webhooks, and API integrations that connect disparate data sources and streamline cross-functional business operations without manual oversight.

  • Cross-Functional Strategy: Act as a technical liaison between operations, product, and core data engineering teams to consolidate ambient data streams and enforce system reliability.

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a highly related technical field.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering (with an analytics focus), Analytics Engineering, or Technical Operations.

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational database architecture.

  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript and Python; proven experience building full-stack web solutions, APIs, or internal tooling.

  • Hands-on experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows is strictly required.

  • Experience with internal tool builders (e.g., Retool) and modern deployment platforms (e.g., Vercel) is highly advantageous.

  • A proven track record of moving beyond basic dashboards to build functional, data-driven applications or automated infrastructure.

  • Systems-level thinker with a meticulous commitment to data accuracy, clean code, and robust technical documentation.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of bridging the gap between deep technical engineering execution and high-level business strategy.

  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to dismantling operational bottlenecks and standardizing best practices.

  • Highly adaptable in a fast-paced environment with a continuous stream of overlapping projects, capable of taking vague operational asks and translating them into precise technical execution.
