Role Overview
As a Sr. Product Engineer, you will contribute to the design, testing, analysis, and continuous improvement of air- and water-cooled chiller platforms. You will help move product concepts from development through validation and release, while supporting sustaining engineering, documentation, and cross-functional execution.
What will you do?
- Perform mechanical and electrical engineering analysis to support product design, development, and issue resolution.
- Lead detailed design work for special requirements, including component and system selection for chiller applications.
- Partner with design and drafting teams on layout concepts, system configurations, engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and bill of materials.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate engineering documentation and release packages supporting design changes and manufacturing.
- Develop, execute, and analyze test programs to validate performance, reliability, and controls interactions of electro-mechanical components.
- Support manufacturing, laboratory, service, applications, product marketing, and product technical service teams with technical direction and troubleshooting.
- Investigate product design proposals, implement approved changes, and apply lessons learned to sustaining and new product development.
- Track project status and support on-time completion across multiple programs and priorities.

- Work as one team with engineering, drafting, marketing, and factory stakeholders, respecting diverse perspectives and shared goals.
- Use CAD models, physical prototypes, and product data to move concepts efficiently through design, validation, and release.
- Apply engineering rigor while balancing priorities, schedules, and technical trade-offs across several active projects.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ABET accredited, or related science/equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in product engineering, design engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working in a product development environment for mechanical systems or commercial/industrial HVAC equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering analysis, component selection, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with engineering drawings, electrical schematics, bill of materials, CAD models, and physical prototypes.
- Ability to prepare and interpret test data, technical documentation, and release packages.
- Working knowledge of regulatory codes such as UL, CE, PED, and ASME.
- Basic business understanding and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a cross-functional environment.
