The Site General Manager will join our Landing Systems division and lead our Southwest Wheel and Brake Service Center located in Santa Fe Springs, CA. In this role, you will lead, direct, and oversee the efficient and effective execution of all Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations and processes. You will perform as an accountable manager (people, quality, compliance, performance) for approximately 80 employees, and a team of 6-8 direct reports including first level leaders.
This role is an onsite position located in Santa Fe Springs; CA. Relocation assistance will be provided.
What You Will Do:
Provide direction and guidance via 'hands on' leadership style to team to ensure a sitewide culture of continuous improvement, customer-first, mutual trust and respect, personal accountability; and rooted in the RTX Values and One Collins Culture.
Monitor product quality and ensure shipping orders comply with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements and or other regulatory agencies as well as customer requirements. Maintains an audit-ready environment.
Develop the annual service center budget; and manage site spending, labor, and material costs to minimize variances and meet margin plan targets for the site.
Maintain delivery, quality, and performance objectives and targets to meet/ exceed customer on time delivery and delivered quality expectations.
Own the execution of long-term operational strategy and direction of the site and service center processes, including cost reduction projects and initiatives, capital investment, and digital solutions.
Ensure that succession and talent growth plans are in place across all key roles for the site, including staffing to plan for all manufacturing positions.
Business partner to the sales organization and ensures that the site efficiently, effectively executes its contractual and company funded obligations.
Ensure the site and all its personnel operate in full compliance with the RTX Code of Ethics, regulatory requirements, and RTX / Collins company policies.
Analyze inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing on replenishment strategies and continuity of supply.
Champion an environment of relentless continuous improvement; actively participate in and lead continuous improvement events and projects.
Ensure workplace is safe and free of significant hazards.

Working Environment & EH&S Responsibilities:
Office and Shop Floor Comply with the EH&S/HSE Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S/HSE rules and requirements
Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards
Attend scheduled EH&S/HSE training program
Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S/HSE goals and plans
Recommend improved EH&S/HSE practices
Lead and deliver on matters relating to industrial hygiene, safety and environmental matters and ensure safety programs comply with government regulations, standards and policies, as well as company objectives
Administer existing EH&S/HSE programs and develop new EH&S/HSE procedures
Audit new procedures and evaluate their implementation by staff and administer reporting procedures
Identify EH&S/HSE training requirements; ensure information/induction sessions are carried out
Conduct risk assessment, management in the identification of hazards in the workplace and recommend and drive corrective or preventive measures, including control systems to detect deviation from agreed EH&S/HSE policies
Assist with EH&S/HSE aspects of plant/process design, modification, including plant layout, equipment and tool specifications, waste disposal and industrial hygiene, protective clothing and the storage of dangerous chemicals and other substances
Injury Management Coordination with regards to injury and rehabilitation controls
Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities relating to EH&S/HSEAdditional duties as required
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience.
Minimum 4 years’ management / supervisory experience
Aerospace industry experience, and/or overhaul and repair environment experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience leading leaders and demonstrated success building high performing teams
Experience influencing and engaging with all levels of leadership including Executives, and external airline customers
Knowledge of FAA regulations and experience with regulatory bodies
Experience in continuous improvement activities, with history of 'hands on' leadership style
Experience in inventory management and control

The salary range for this role is 172,900 USD - 328,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
