The Laundry Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all commercial laundry equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. This role supports the 24/7 operational needs of Caesars New Orleans and plays a critical part in keeping our laundry services running smoothly for hotel and casino operations. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, mechanically skilled, and comfortable working independently during overnight hours.

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on all commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, folders, conveyors, and boilers.

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues related to laundry systems and resolve them in a timely manner.

  • Respond to emergency breakdowns during the grave shift to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.

  • Maintain accurate logs of repairs, parts used, and equipment performance.

  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies.

  • Collaborate with the Facilities and Laundry leadership teams to identify recurring issues and recommend long‑term solutions.

  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and calibration as needed.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

  • Support cross‑departmental teamwork and uphold Caesars’ service culture.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a mechanic, technician, or maintenance specialist (laundry equipment experience strongly preferred).

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

  • Experience with commercial laundry equipment brands (e.g., Milnor, Chicago Dryer, Braun) is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours.

  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.

  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in hot or confined spaces as needed.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required gaming licenses and certifications.
