The Security Supervisor role ensures the implementation of a robust and comprehensive security program that will streamline and channelize the secure movement of people and materials into, within, and out of the plant. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the implementation of physical security, employee/visitor-related services, record updating and maintenance, assistance during emergencies, and intelligence gathering. This role reports to the Security Director and supervises a team.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Supervise the site security team. Oversee all security-related functions within the designated area of responsibility.
Be present for work at the designated time and location as required.
Follow onsite security requirements, including internal and external patrols.
Monitor the Video Surveillance System (VSS) on a routine basis. Monitor the access control system (AC) routinely.
Promptly report security events per protocol. Assist with emergency events.
Partner effectively with site departments and stakeholders to support business operations, address security-related concerns, and promote a culture of safety and security.
Communicate effectively with site leadership to ensure awareness of security issues, risks, incidents, and mitigation efforts.
Report security-related issues to the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) as required.
Exhibit an understanding of confidentiality, integrity, and loyalty. Deliver effective security with a focus on customer service.
Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies to receive timely inputs on security situations.
Assist in development of policies and procedures. Ensure all functions, duties or tasks are performed honestly, ethically, and professionally and conform to applicable company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree, college diploma, or equivalent preferred. Candidates must have at least two years of experience in law enforcement, military, and/or security. Four or more years of relevant experience is preferred.
Previous supervisory experience required as this role will manage contract security staff.
Preferred candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas:
Candidates should have knowledge in specialized fields such as industrial security, loss prevention, electronic surveillance, or possess related training that extends beyond a high school education (minimum of four years).
Candidates must be proficient in monitoring and maintaining access control systems and alarms, operating video surveillance (VSS), completing shift reports and handovers, responding to incidents, providing excellent customer service, and working independently.
Candidates should be capable of reporting, documenting, and acting upon incidents related to fence conditions, perimeter security, property loss, and other relevant security issues.
Candidates must demonstrate effective proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, and Outlook for various tasks.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and have held a valid driver’s license for at least two years before the application date.
Must be able to successfully complete all required background checks, security clearances, training programs, and site-specific certifications.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs.
May require use of hands and arms to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment or other materials required for the position.
Proficiency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English is required.
Basic proficiency with computers, electronic security systems, email, and report-writing applications is required.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive security-related information.
