Area Sales Manager (M/F) – ITALY

As a global leader in the design and manufacture of pumps and compressors for energy and petrochemical applications, SUNDYNE operates in Europe through three production sites located in France, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
What makes us unique: Each product is individually designed and manufactured, with special attention to details and an average production time of approximately 10-18 months per project depending on the complexity.
To support its rapid growth and in a replacement context, the Group is looking to hire an experienced Area Sales Manager. This position is part of the EPC/Project Sales team, which oversees the sales of pumps and compressors for the energy sector in a context of complex projects.
THE POSITION:
Within a 6-person EPC team, the Area Sales Manager for Italy will report to the EATCA New Units Sales Manager. The role involves developing and maintaining strong, trusting relationships with EPC clients, primarily based in Milan and Rome.
- Proactively managing a portfolio of approximately 10 key clients, regularly visiting high-profile buyers, engineers, and other decision-makers.
- Developing existing customers into higher-value deals, providing constant support during every phase of their activities, aiming to increase the number/value of opportunities and Sundyne’s brand visibility.
- Developing and managing technical and commercial frame agreements but also exploring other commercial agreements which can lead to increase the business (Incentive-Rebates).
- Contributing to the expansion of green applications related to hydrogen and CO2, promoting innovative new uses for Sundyne products.
- Identifying and qualifying new potential customers operating in the same sectors above listed.
Location & Travel: This is a home-based position, ideally located in Milan. The Area Sales Manager will collaborate closely with Application Engineers based in the three production sites, with the product development team, business developers and, more in general, with the management supporting the pre and post order phase. Meetings with the supervisor in France every two months are foreseen in addition to regular visits to the production sites.
YOUR PROFILE:
Required for this position:
- A technical background with solid knowledge of mechanics.
- At least 5 years of sales experience, in the Energy sector especially in the high-complexity project environment.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a proven track record of closing long sales cycle deals.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
