T1 Energy is bringing solar manufacturing back to the U.S. by building a domestic solar supply chain. Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. The Role

T1 Energy is looking to hire a Chief of Staff who serves as a strategic advisor and operational partner to the General Manager and Deputy General Manager, ensuring alignment across all departments within a high-volume solar module manufacturing facility. This individual will drive cross-functional initiatives, manage executive priorities, remove organizational roadblocks, and ensure critical projects are executed on time and with accountability. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, operationally focused, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience in advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, automotive, semiconductor, electronics, or solar manufacturing is strongly preferred. Fluency in both English and Spanish is highly desirable to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce.

What You’ll Do

Executive Strategy & Operations

· Serve as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and Deputy General Manager on strategic initiatives and operational priorities.

· Translate executive goals into actionable plans with measurable deliverables.

· Monitor key plant initiatives and ensure milestones are achieved.

· Identify operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

· Prepare executive briefings, presentations, reports, and board-level communications.

Cross-Functional Leadership

· Coordinate initiatives across:

o Production, Engineering, Equipment Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Warehouse & Logistics, EHS, Human Resources, Finance, IT, etc.

· Facilitate communication between departments to ensure alignment and accountability.

· Lead cross-functional meetings and follow up on action items.

Business Analytics

· Develop executive dashboards and reports.

· Analyze operational trends to support strategic decision-making.

· Conduct financial and operational analyses for new investments and capital projects.

· Support annual operating plans and strategic planning activities.

Project Management

· Manage high-priority operational projects from initiation through implementation.

· Track project timelines, budgets, risks, and resource allocation.

· Ensure new production line launches, and expansion projects remain on schedule.

· Develop dashboards to monitor project status and executive KPIs.

Who You Are

Operational Excellence

· Analyze manufacturing performance using KPIs such as:

o Safety

o Productivity

o OEE

o Yield

o Scrap

o Downtime

o Throughput

o Labor efficiency

o Quality metrics

· Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs.

· Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Executive Communications

· Draft executive communications, presentations, and organizational announcements.

· Prepare agendas and materials for leadership meetings.

· Document decisions and ensure follow-through on commitments.

· Represent executive leadership in meetings when appropriate.

Organizational Effectiveness

· Improve communication and collaboration across departments.

· Assist with organizational change management.

· Promote accountability and operational discipline.

· Support leadership development initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.

  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.

  • 5+ years supporting executive leadership or leading cross-functional strategic initiatives.

  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

  • Strong project management experience.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).

  • MBA or Master's degree.

  • Solar, semiconductor, battery, electronics, automotive, or advanced manufacturing experience.

  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
