Job Description
As a Security Guard Patrol and Activity Reporting in Johnston, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location. Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, observe and report activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will contribute to a caring, people-first culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and operations.

- Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a logistics and distribution location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of shipping areas, loading docks, parking lots, facility grounds, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials for individuals and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location, in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly report observed concerns.
- Document patrol activity, access-related events, incidents, and unusual conditions through accurate logs and reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
