Job SummaryThe Front End Mechanic at Fabricas Monterrey, S.A. de C.V. is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of vehicle front-end systems, including steering, suspension, and wheel alignment, to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform comprehensive inspections of vehicle front-end components, including suspension, steering linkage, ball joints, control arms, and shock absorbers.
* Diagnose mechanical and alignment issues using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Execute repairs and replacements of worn or damaged front-end components, such as tie rods, bearings, bushings, and springs.
* Conduct wheel alignments using precision equipment to ensure correct camber, caster, and toe settings.
* Perform tire rotations, balancing, and repairs as needed.
* Document all inspection findings, repairs performed, and parts used accurately and thoroughly.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures during vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
* Stay updated on new vehicle technologies and repair techniques through continuous learning and training.
Job Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive mechanics is highly preferred.
* Proven experience as a Front End Mechanic or similar automotive technician role.
* Strong knowledge of vehicle front-end systems, including steering, suspension, and wheel alignment principles.
* Proficient in using diagnostic tools, alignment equipment, and general automotive repair tools.
* Ability to interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* ASE certification in Steering and Suspension (A4) is a plus.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.segurar
